Bin erst bis Seite fünf gekommen. Sehr nachdenklich fand ich den Text zu dem kleinen Jungen im Rock im Kindergarten (Seite zwei von 149):
"Today when i walked into the kids club I saw one of the boys wearing a skirt. Im not going to lie i was a little shocked at first but that quickly changed in 2 seconds when I saw him run up to me excited to show me his skirt. When he started twirling in circles, the look on his face was one of the best things ive ever seen. Pure happiness. I don’t understand why this world is so hateful. Why people constantly have to drag others down and try to mold them to fit this “normal” lifestyle. Whats so wrong with a boy wearing a skirt? Has he killed anybody, pushed anybody, hurt anybody? No. Hes simply wearing some fabric. His body is covered. Nothing inappropriate, in fact he even had his shorts underneath. So whats so wrong with the style he chose? Is this really the worse a child can do? Many parents made comments calling him a disgrace, and his mother a failure and one mother even told her daughter to stay away from him. Really?? Ive never been so disgusted. This skirt makes this boy happy and I dont understand why people, especially the adults have to crush that happiness. HE ISN’T HURTING ANYONE, he’s simply being HAPPY. The only thing I agree with is yes hes going to be a major target for bullies, he needs to know that so that hes prepared for any kind of hate and comments he’s going to recieve. Teach the children acceptance. Acceptance with themselves, and the fact that not everybody is going to like you, and teach them that not everybody likes what you like and that’s okay. Everybody is different. A skirt on another human being doesn’t hurt you in any way so why hurt them?"
Dafür als Ausgleich die lustigen Turnvideos von Paul Hunt und die Kleidertauscher (switcheroo) zum Schmunzeln. Ich werde noch einige Tage zu tun haben bis Seite 149.
